Creative Collision
Creative Collision is a 3-day interdisciplinary sprint that pairs New Media Design and Visual Communication Design students across year levels to build a new concept fast. This year’s prompt was “Make something new.”
Core Idea
We created a motion graphics piece showcasing a simple subject, the apple, to highlight the various ways in which one subject can be represented through contemporary design trends and technological advancements.
We incorporated a nonlinear timeline to reflect the cyclical nature of history. This highlights the notion that while trends and technologies evolve, patterns and themes reinvent themselves over time, thus, the ever-evolving: “always something new”.
